Backup required before you start

You must make a complete backup copy of your authorised USB key before installing either version. Do not continue until the backup has been made and stored safely.

Windows installation

  1. Close Neo Stack Tracker Professional.
  2. Make a complete backup copy of your authorised USB key and store it safely. This is required—do not continue without a backup.
  3. Copy Neo-Stack-Tracker-Copper-Update-2.0.1.exe from your Downloads folder to the main/root folder of your authorised USB key. It must be beside Licence.neo, NeoDevice.neo and Neo Stack Tracker Professional.exe.
  4. Open the USB key, then double-click Neo-Stack-Tracker-Copper-Update-2.0.1.exe there. Neo-Stack-Tracker-Copper-Update-2.0.1.exe must be run from the USB key—not from your computer's Downloads folder.
  5. Keep the USB key connected and follow the prompts in Neo-Stack-Tracker-Copper-Update-2.0.1.exe until it confirms that the update is complete.
  6. Close Neo-Stack-Tracker-Copper-Update-2.0.1.exe. From then on, open Neo Stack Tracker Professional.exe from the USB key as normal.

Important: Do not remove the USB key or open Neo Stack Tracker Professional while the update is running.

What changes

  • Adds kilograms, grams, pounds, ounces and troy ounces.
  • Copper spot price remains per pound.
  • Copper QTY/.999, PRICE/.999 and premium figures are shown per ordinary ounce.
  • Existing pound-based copper records and premiums are converted automatically.
  • No other tracker sections are changed.

Your records are preserved

Neo-Stack-Tracker-Copper-Update-2.0.1.exe changes only the tracker application. It does not change or delete Saved, Backups, portfolio files ending in .neo-stack, Licence.neo or NeoDevice.neo. The previous application is retained as Neo Stack Tracker Professional.pre-copper-update.bak.

Mac installation

  1. Close Neo Stack Tracker Professional.
  2. Make a complete backup copy of your authorised USB key and store it safely. This is required—do not continue without a backup.
  3. Open Neo-Stack-Tracker-Mac-Copper-Update-2.0.1.zip on your Mac.
  4. Copy Install Copper Update.command and Neo Stack Tracker Professional Updated.app to the main/root folder of your authorised USB key. Both must be beside Licence.neo, NeoDevice.neo and the existing Neo Stack Tracker Professional.app.
  5. Open the USB key, then double-click Install Copper Update.command there. It must be run from the USB key.
  6. If macOS blocks it, Control-click Install Copper Update.command, choose Open, then confirm Open.
  7. Keep the USB key connected and follow the prompts until the update is confirmed complete.
  8. Close the command window. From then on, open Neo Stack Tracker Professional.app from the USB key as normal.

Important: Do not remove the USB key or open Neo Stack Tracker Professional while Install Copper Update.command is running.

Your Mac records are preserved

Install Copper Update.command changes only the application. It does not change or delete Saved, Backups, portfolio files ending in .neo-stack, Licence.neo or NeoDevice.neo. The previous application is retained as Neo Stack Tracker Professional.pre-copper-update.bak.
